Career Legacy Circle

For a Meaningful Career Finale
The end of a career marks a MAJOR transition. At the end of a career there are several preoccupations that might arise :
- How to remain motivated and invested at work for the remaining years
- How to start preparing the next chapter, once you transition to full time leisure
- What to leave at the workplace when you go (your legacy)
- How you transfer any relevant knowledge or attitudes to the next generation of workers
A Legacy Circle will…
- Offer a space to discuss and explore life after paid work
- Provide guidance and support by like-minded peers
- Facilitate exchange of leaving strategies
- Support the management of a real life transition
- Enable exploration of new ways of living after the retirement transition
What is a Career Legacy Circle ?
A Career Legacy Circle is a group created to bring together 6 to 10 people who are eager to plan their life stage transition into retirement from the psychosocial perspective. Those in the later stages of their active working life can share the way they want to complete the final stage of their careers.
The Circle aims to develop two bodies of knowledge: knowing how to stay in the workplace and knowing how to leave. This implies, among other things, wrapping up commitments and transmitting one’s professional legacy.
English language group participants are involved in a process that includes 2 full days (Wednesdays or Saturdays) and one to two evening sessions (to be decided in the group) over a period of four-six weeks.
Participants experience some “AHA” moments and leave with ideas and new friends.
